Terms of Use

1. About IC Troo

IC Troo ("the Platform") is a community space for ICT practitioners, students, and enthusiasts to share ideas, publish articles, collaborate on projects, and connect with potential team members and sponsors. Use of the Platform is subject to these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By registering you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you will keep it up to date.

3. Your Content

You retain ownership of articles, project descriptions, and files you post. By submitting content you grant IC Troo a non-exclusive licence to display it to other users of the Platform. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights, contain malware, or violate applicable law.

4. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting spam, misleading information, or content that harasses other users
• Uploading malicious files or scripts disguised as images or documents
• Attempting to access accounts or data that do not belong to you
• Using the Platform for commercial advertising without prior consent

5. Project Applications and Ownership

Applications to join projects as a team member or sponsor are voluntary. Project owners decide whether to accept or reject applications at their sole discretion. IC Troo is not party to any agreements formed between project owners and applicants.

Project deletion restriction. Once a project has at least one accepted team member or sponsor, the project owner may not delete the project unilaterally. The owner must first transfer ownership to an accepted collaborator. This rule exists to protect the contributions and expectations of all collaborators.

Ownership transfer. A project owner may transfer ownership to any accepted team member or sponsor at any time. After transfer the former owner retains their collaborator status on the project but loses all management rights.

6. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Account deletion is a permanent, irreversible action with the following consequences:

• Your personal information (email, phone, Discord) is immediately and permanently erased.
• All active login sessions are terminated.
• Your username is permanently reserved. It cannot be reclaimed by you or registered by any other person. This is to preserve the attribution of your contributions.
• Your articles, project posts, and comments remain on the Platform, attributed to your username, as a record of your contributions to the community.

Prerequisite. Before deleting your account you must transfer ownership of any project that has accepted members or sponsors. The platform guides you through this on the account deletion page. See the FAQ for a step-by-step walkthrough, or email admin@ictroo.com if you need assistance.

7. Termination by IC Troo

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without prior notice.

8. Disclaimer

The Platform is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. IC Troo is not liable for any loss arising from use of or inability to use the Platform.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
